Store Wide Discounts are discounts that will automatically apply at the cart when the customer has met a 'minimum spend' amount. This discount will not be shown anywhere to the customer so if you do set a store wide discount, it would be good to advertise it in your advert on Facebook or indeed, you can add some text to your products to state they will get the discount at cart.
